Cramer and UM MBA graduate Michael O'Leary won a 2008 Suncoast Regional Emmy Award for Oustanding Commercial for the Miami-produced video "Mosaic". The duo was also selected as winners of the Special Feature: Colleges, Conferences and Governing Bodies category at the First Annual Global Media Awards for College Sports in 2009. "Mosaic", a commercial about UM's Olympic sports, and "It Begins Here", a retrospective of UM's athletic facilities, were finalists in other categories as well at both awards ceremonies.
A native of South Lyon, Mich., Cramer has distinguished himself as one of the nation's foremost video coordinators. In 2001 and 2002, he was named the Big East Conference Video Coordinator of the Year in a vote by the membership of the Collegiate Sports Video Association.
Cramer began his career at Miami in 1996, following his graduation from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in broadcating and cinematic arts. While there, he served as the football program's video coordinator.
