Miami Runs at Mountain Dew Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Juniors Sean Pezzulo and Lindsi Arrington led the way for the University of Miami cross country teams as they continued their success on Saturday at the University of Florida Mountain Dew Invitational. The men's team placed ninth out of 17 teams, while the women were 11th out of 18 squads.

"Sean and Lindsi ran great races today with personal-best times," assistant cross country coach Damon Griffiths said. "We need to continue to work on having a closer spread between our other runners. We have time to improve on our mental and physical fitness."

Pezzulo placed 11th with a time of 25:14.00 in the 8k. It was a personal best, as well as the sixth-best time in school history. For the women, Arrington ran a personal best of 18:13.10, finishing 13th overall. Arrington's time was the fourth-best time in school history.

"My plan for today's race was to run hard and be a motivation to my team," Arrington said. "My focus is on getting back to training to prepare for the ACC schedule."
