Michaela Mabrey joined the University of Miami women’s basketball staff in August 2016 as the coordinator of program and player development.
A native of Belmar, N.J., Mabrey came to Miami after a stellar career playing for Hall of Fame head coach Muffet McGraw at the University of Notre Dame. Mabrey helped lead the Fighting Irish to a 141-8 record, four conference regular season and tournament titles, three Final Four berths and a pair of national championship appearances.
Mabrey, a two-year captain at Notre Dame, ended her career fourth in Fighting Irish history in made 3-pointers (576), sixth in games played (142) and seventh in 3-point percentage (.396). She is the lone player in the program’s history to make 60 3-pointers in three separate seasons.
In 2012, Mabrey played for Katie Meier on the USA U18 National Team. She graduated from Notre Dame in 2016 with a degree in film and television.
