On Saturday, April 27, 2002 several members of the football team participated in the 10th Annual Dare softball game in Deerfield Beach. The football players took on a team of Community Business All-Stars. The softball game was put on by the Broward Sheriff's Office Deerfield Beach District and was a benefit to raise money for youth programs in Deerfield Beach.
