Allen Augustin is in his fourth year as an Academic Advisor for the University of Miami Athletics Department. He advises the freshman football student-athletes, as well as the rowing, track & field and cross country teams.

A Miami native, Augustin played football at Florida State, advancing from walk-on to starting linebacker by his junior season. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2004 and by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2005.

Augustin graduated from Florida State in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in creative writing and added a master's degree in communication in 2003.
