Hurricanes Conclude 15th #CanesCamp Session
CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Sandwiched between two two-a-day sessions, the Miami Hurricanes concluded the 15th session of #CanesCamp Wednesday at the Greentree Practice Fields. Wednesday was another day in full pads for the Hurricanes.
Four players donned black jerseys during the morning practice, including senior P Dalton Botts, junior DL Shayon Green, freshman DB Tracy Howard and senior DB Brandon McGee. Only four players wore limited contact yellow jerseys, including sophomore DL Anthony Chickillo.
Wednesday’s practice began with a focus on red zone scramble drills, featuring two solid passes from freshman QB Preston Dewey, who hit both receivers in the corner of the end zone and drew some praise from the coaches.
Thursday’s fourth two-a-day of #CanesCamp will be the last one before Saturday’s second scrimmage, which will be closed to the public and the media.
In preparation for the 2012 season, the University of Miami will be hosting its annual BankUnited CanesFest on Sat., Aug. 18, from 4-7 p.m. at the BankUnited Center on the UM campus. Fans in attendance will have the chance to pick up the new 2012 Miami Football poster, receive autographs from Hurricane players and coaches, purchase season tickets, and much more. #CanesCamp continues Thursday with day 13 of practices and the fourth set of two-a-days, which will commence at 8:20 a.m. at the Greentree Practice Fields.
Prior to practice head coach Al Golden, defensive line coach Jethro Franklin, OL Jermaine Johnson, LB Thurston Armbrister and LB Denzel Perryman met with reporters and talked about the progress of #CanesCamp.
