Miami Hurricanes fans will have to wait one more week before seeing their beloved Orange and Green at Sun Life Stadium. After a thrilling 41-32 season-opening road win at Boston College, the Canes (1-0) travel to Manhattan, Kan., to face No. 22/21 Kansas State (1-0) at 12:05 p.m. EDT on FX.
For the second consecutive season, Miami opened its schedule on the road. With the road win at Boston College, the Canes improved to 7-2 in their last nine season openers away from home. And, for the first time since the 2005 campaign, the Hurricanes open the season with two consecutive road contests. That year, Miami lost 10-7 at Florida State in the opener before defeating Clemson, 36-30, in triple OT.
The 2012 season will be the eighth time in its 86-year history that Miami has opened the season with two consecutive road or neutral contests:

Miami and Rutgers are the only BCS teams that play at least three road games in the month of September this season. After Saturday's trip to the "Little Apple", Miami will face Georgia Tech on Sept. 22 in Atlanta.
With the win at Boston College, Miami has won two straight road contests and three of its last four.
