MIAMI - Five hundred fifteen runners over six races competed at the Greentree Invitational hosted by the University of Miami cross country program on Saturday at Indian Hammocks Park in Miami. The event included both collegiate and high school races.
"I think it was a great turnout today, we had some of the best talent in South Florida run this morning," assistant cross country coach Damon Griffiths said. "It is a beautiful course here and it ran fairly fast for everyone. The meet was very competitive and we hope to make it bigger and better next season."
Following the collegiate races, high school varsity and junior varsity squads competed on the course.
The UM cross country teams will next run at the Mountain Dew Invitational at the University of Florida on Saturday, Sept. 15.
