CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The University of Miami women's tennis team will wrap up its fall schedule with the 2012 Florida State Championship, also known as the Bedford Cup. The event will be held at USF's Varsity and P.E. courts this Friday through Sunday.
It marks the second straight event the Canes have competed in Tampa.
Two veterans and four newcomers will be competing in the tournament that is composed entirely of players from Florida schools.
Junior Brittany Dubins and sophomore Lina Lileikite will lead the young Canes, as they will be joined by freshmen Kelsey Laurente, Stephanie Wagner and Deborah Suarez as well as junior transfer Nicolle Stracar.
The six players have a combined singles record of 27-13 against collegiate opponents this fall with Stracar sporting a perfect 5-0 mark.
