Hosted by San Diego State, the tournament will be held at the 6,202-yard, par-72 course at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, located approximately 30 miles north of San Diego. Miami will face a 15-team field that includes six Top-30 teams - No. 2 USC, No. 9 Arizona, No. 12 Cal, No. 20 Texas A&M, No. 24 Texas and No. 27 Pepperdine.
The tournament will feature 54 holes over three days. Miami, Wyoming and Long Beach will tee off from No. 10 at 12:30 p.m. ET Sunday. Live scoring for all three rounds will be available at www.golfstatresults.com.
“Success comes when preparation and opportunity meet. This week is a perfect example for that to happen,” assistant coach John Koskinen said. “The field is very strong and our team is playing with a lot of confidence right now.”
Miami enters its regular-season finale with five consecutive top-6 finishes, including three third-place showings in the spring. After an idle week, sophomore Leticia Ras-Anderica continues to climb up Golfstat’s Top 100 leaderboard, entering this weekend tied for 79th nationally.
“It will be nice to have a change in scenery since we have played our first five events in Florida,” Koskinen said.
Park enters the SDSU Farms Invitational after posting a team-low 215 at the Gator Invitational, while Cuculiza has improved her stroke average by 3.19 since last season and has a 75.33 stroke average since the Florida Challenge in January.
Head coach Patti Rizzo has been impressed by Hendee, who has been working tirelessly to improve during her freshman season.
“Laura has been really working hard to improve her game,” Rizzo said. “She’s showing real commitment and we’re proud of her effort and willingness to improve.”
