CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Monique Albuquerque and Clementina Riobueno were named to the 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) women’s All-America Team, it was announced Thursday.

By qualifying for the NCAA Doubles Championship as a Top-8 seed, the doubles team of Albuquerque and Riobueno automatically met the doubles All-America criteria.

The duo went on to do some serious damage in the tournament, toppling No. 1 ranked Jennifer Brady and Robin Anderson of UCLA in the team championship before defeating two more ranked opponents en route to the NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals.

For the spring, Miami’s All-American doubles team appeared in every poll of 2014 while posting a 23-4 overall record and a 10-1 mark in ACC play. At the No. 1 spot, the Canes’ duo went 15-3 and went 6-2 at No. 2.
