WASHINGTON, D.C. - University of Miami seniors Mike James, Darius Smith and Vaughn Telemaque will participate in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. The all-star game will be held Jan. 19 at The Home Depot Center on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson, Calif.

James started all 12 games at running back for the Hurricanes in 2012, finishing as the team's second-leading rusher with 642 yards and six touchdowns. The Haines City, Fla., product concluded his career with 1,386 rushing yards and 17 scores, while catching 67 passes for 585 yards and five touchdowns. He was one of 11 FBS players named to the 2012 AFCA Allstate Good Works Team in September.

Smith, a native of New Britain, Conn., started 14 games along the defensive line in two seasons for the Hurricanes, racking up 32 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks. As a senior in 2012, Smith recorded 11 tackles in nine games, making seven starts.

A 2012 All-ACC honorable mention selection at safety, Telemaque made 20 tackles in 10 games. The Long Beach, Calif., product finished his career with 187 tackles and four interceptions.

For one week preceding the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, participants will receive an in-depth introduction to the union - the primary resource for information on the business of football and how to succeed in the NFL and in post-football careers.

Pro football players and coaching legends will work for the game's future stars, giving them first-hand insight on what it takes to win on and off the field. Herm Edwards and Dick Vermeil will serve as the head coaches of the American and National teams. Player Ambassadors for the game include former NFL players Terrell Davis, Hank Baskett, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Lorenzo Neal and Andre Reed.
