The Monday ProCanes report will weed through all the NFL highlights and news to bring you the information you care about the most... what the former Hurricanes did during the week prior. With the AFC and NFC championship matchups set for Sun., Jan. 20, the University of Miami leads all schools nationwide with eight former players on active rosters. Ray Lewis, who helped guide his Baltimore Ravens team to an upset of No. 1 seed Denver, highlighted another dominant weekend of playoff performances for ProCanes.

Ray Lewis (Baltimore Ravens) - 17 total tackles
The heart of the Baltimore defense and one of the greatest linebackers in football history helped his team earn a chance for revenge, guiding the Ravens to victory with a 17-tackle performance in Denver. After suffering a triceps injury that nearly ended his season, the 37-year old has retuned to post 30 tackles in Baltimore's two postseason wins. Lewis and his Ravens teammates will travel to New England for a rematch with the Patriots, who defeated Baltimore in the 2011 AFC Championship Game.

Sam Shields (Green Bay Packers) - four tackles, one interception, one touchdown
Despite his team's loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Packers' third-year cornerback delivered another strong performance at Candlestick Park. Shields, who opened the game's scoring with a "pick-six," registered his fourth career postseason interception in his past five games. The Sarasota, Fla., native, who recorded three interceptions during the regular season, also added four tackles on defense.

Frank Gore (San Francisco 49ers) - 23 carries, 119 yards, one touchdown
While his team's quarterback delivered a highlight-reel performance, San Francisco's ninth-year running back delivered a typically gritty showing in the 49ers' big win over Green Bay. Gore finished with 167 all-purpose yards, including 119 on the ground, and also scored a fourth-quarter touchdown to help seal the win. The Miami, Fla., native registered over five yards a carry in the game, powering San Francisco to a spot in the NFC Championship Game and a matchup with Atlanta.
