CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Three offensive linemen are among the seven Miami Hurricanes honored on the Athlon Sports' 2013 All-ACC Team, released Monday by the magazine.

Reigning ACC Rookie of the Year Duke Johnson was tabbed as a first-team selection at both running back and kick returner. Johnson, a third-team Preseason All-America pick by Phil Steele, enjoyed one of the greatest freshman seasons in Hurricanes history in 2012, amassing 2,060 all-purpose yards and 13 TDs, while breaking Clinton Portis’ 13-year-old school freshman rushing record with 947 yards. His 892 kick return yards were a single-season record, while also tying the school single-season mark with two kick returns for touchdown.

Senior offensive guard Brandon Linder joined Johnson on the first team. As a junior in 2012, Linder started all 12 games at right guard. He was a third-team All-ACC pick by Phil Steele and a honorable mention selection by both ACSMA and the ACC Coaches.

Junior DE Anthony Chickillo and junior LB Denzel Perryman were Miami's second-team honorees. Chickillo was one of six Hurricanes to earn All-ACC honorable mention from the league coaches. Chickillo tallied 45 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks as a sophomore last season. Perryman played in nine games, making six starts mostly at middle linebacker. A third-team All-ACC pick by Phil Steele, Perryman finished second on the team with 64 total tackles and added 6.0 tackles for loss.

Three players were selected to the third team - C Shane McDermott, OT Seantrel Henderson and S Deon Bush.

An All-ACC honorable mention selection in 2012 by the league coaches, McDermott started all 12 games at center for the Hurricanes. He anchored the offensive line that paved the way for the ACC’s third-best passing offense (295.4) and fifth-best total offense (440.2). Henderson, an All-ACC honorable mention by ACSMA and the league coaches, played 11 games along the offensive line in 2012, starting the final seven games at right tackle.

Bush played in 10 games as a freshman in 2012, making six starts at safety. He made 34 tackles en route to earning second-team Freshman All-America honors by Scout/CFN.com.
