A few times a week, Morgan Stroman, one of the senior captains on the women's basketball team will be writing a blog of the team's happenings. She has been an integral part of the team's transformation into a ACC and nationally recognized program.

Out of high school, Stroman was a three-time South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, won four consecutive state championships and was named a McDonald's All-American. After her sophomore season at Miami, Stroman was named All-ACC Third Team and helped guide the Canes to their first ACC Regular Season Championship.

Midway through her junior season, Stroman tore her Achilles' tendon in a game at Virginia. She missed the rest of the season. However, after an intense rehab she was ready for her senior season. She currently leads her team in rebounding, steals, blocks and double-doubles and is second on the squad in scoring.

Below is Morgan's fourth blog entry for HurricaneSports.com.

Hey Cane Gang,

This past Sunday we took on  Boston College and what a nice day it was. Seems to me that BC brought the weather down with them, because it was a lot chillier than usual in South Florida. To my teammates and I, it was freezing in the gym. Something we aren't use to! The frosty gym didn't phase us one bit though, as we were taking on the Eagles. We got steals, turned them over, got rebounds, and hustled all across the court.

In my opinion, it has been a long time since we had a game like this one. It was just filled with entertainment, enthusiasm, and flat out effort. I had so much fun playing that game and it wasn't for myself but for my teammates. Just being able to see them on the court doing well and smiling made everything 10 times better. The win was just the icing on the cake.

This past week we had a ton of time to get better because we had a much needed bye week. This season is a long one so u need time to yourself and to rest your body. Coach gave us that time to rest and also that time to come closer as a team on the court because chemistry is what matters. This Thursday we head up to North Carolina as we take on the Wolfpack at NC State. This is going to be fun. Only a couple games left, why not have fun!?
