DURHAM, N.C.  - The University of Miami was unable to replicate its opening half performance as fourth-ranked Duke proved to be too much for the Canes on its home court in an 82-43 Blue Devil victory.

The Hurricanes were bolstered by 15 first-half points from junior guard Krystal Saunders as the Canes and Blue Devils were knotted at 29 at the half.

However, the second half proved to be unkind to Miami (14-7, 5-5 ACC). Saunders was held scoreless the remainder of the game and fellow guard Stefanie Yderstrom was unable to get on the board after sitting out much of the opening half with two fouls.

After taking a 33-31 lead early in the second half, a 20-0 run by Duke (19-1, 9-0 ACC) in a five-minute span gave the home team an 18 point lead they would never relinquish.

Five different Duke players scored in double figures, led by Tricia Liston's 17. Chelsea Gray added 16, Elizabeth Williams scored 12 and Haley Peters and Alexis Jones each had 10. Jones also pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double.

Saunders and Woods gave Miami an early jump on the Blue Devils in the first half. Saunders connected on a pair of threes on back-to-back possessions to give Miami an 8-0 lead. Then, Woods scored on three-straight trips down the floor and Miami led 16-8 halfway through the period.

Saunders would go on to hit three more treys in the first half. She led all scorers with 15 points at the break with the score tied at 29. The South Broward product's five threes were a career best.

The Hurricanes will return to the BankUnited Center to square off against Virginia Tech on Super Sunday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
